2011CROP Unusual single-farm varietal mix!! September, 2009 - CoffeeReview.com gave us a 91 rating on this coffee.
Grown at the Pretto family’s organic farm in the Alto Lino mountain area surrounding Boquete, Hacienda La Esperanza is a new Bio Latina certified organic coffee. 2008-2009 harvest was the first in many years on this land, once fallen into disrepair and now restored to its rich, natural beauty under the Prettos’ conscientious stewardship. We were introduced to this coffee by a family member and quickly realized the exceptional taste quality. It is a delightful blend of Caturra, Catuai, Geisha (Gesha), and Bourbon Arabica. La Esperanza combines the excellence of Caturra, Catuai and Geisha beans with the richness and depth of Bourbon to produce a cup that is truly about taste. "Pure and delicate, Sweet honey and orange-toned aroma. An elegantly bright and fruity acidity points up delicate flavors of flowers, orange, cedar and tart berry. The lightly syrupy cup sweetens in the long finish". Kenneth Davids, CoffeeReview.com, Sept. 2009 Whole bean only 1 lb. Roasted Purple Bag
