El Burro is a relatively new estate but already making a name for itself. At the 2008 "Best of Panama" annual cupping competition it finished 14th. In 2007 it placed 9th. At the 2005 SCAA cupping it came in 18th out of 350 coffees and at the 2003 SCAA cupping it was in the top ten of 118 coffees. It is consistently top ranked.
This is a small production farm grown at high altitudes around the Volcan Baru. It is one of the Familia Lamastus farms which are known for their high quality and taste. It is bold, full bodied, complex with a pure crisp lemon-like finish. A perfect wake-up call at breakfast or a great ending to a meal. If you like a bold coffee, this is it! Gourmet bold taste but with the smooth taste of a Panama specialty coffee.

El Burro Estate
This is another Lamastus family owned coffee farm in the Boquete area. More than half of this farm is located within the protected area of the Volcan Baru National Park.
A young farm for the area but already producing outstanding specialty coffee.
