A Geisha variety takes #1 at the Best of Panama cupping competition in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009. 2009 Best of Panama Coffee  #1 was La Esmeralda Geisha. Our other coffee in the Top Ten - Lerida Estate, Elida Estate and Duncan Estate and Carmen Estate.

Coffee is cupped and scored like fine wine. It is a method of systematically evaluating the aroma and taste characteristics of a sample of coffee beans. The Coffee Taster's Flavor Wheel is a useful tool to evaluate the aroma and taste.
